We have lost a legendary Cuban-American, an example to all exiles in the U.S. and, especially, to the politicians who wish to act honestly, humanely, and with courage.

Lincoln Diaz-Balart served us all well as a Congressman, as a Cuban exile defending the right of the Cuban people to be free, as a member of our Miami community and civic life, as a friend and as a member of a distinguished family.

We will miss him tremendously!  As Garcia Lorca said it so well: Long live a coin that will never be repeated.
