City of Miami sponsors the ArtesMiami Relief Fund 2020-2021

City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Commissioners have donated to the ArtesMiami Relief Fund in 2020-2021 in order to provide underserved communities within the city with free virtual, and now in person, cultural entertainment. ArtesMiami thus also supports Hispanic artists and small cultural organizations, contracted to provide this entertainment during the difficult period of the pandemic.

Among the recipients of the City of Miami donation to ArtesMiami, which has been cash-matched by ArtesMiami President Aida Levitan, are the Cultural Center of Spain in Miami (CCEMiami), artists Eglise Gutierrez and Lazaro Horta, Pinceladas de Arte con Alejandra Cossío del Pino, Cuban-French exile singer-composer Niuver, Latin Grammy award winner composer-musician Yadam Gonzalez, lutist Manuel Paneque, Fundación Cuatrogatos, Centro Máter and others.

The program will continue until July 2021.
